Croatia Airlines, a national carrier of Croatia and a member of Star Alliance, has introduced new on-board Business Class meals today in Zagreb. The meals were designed to show the best of Croatian gastronomy.
The new gastronomic offer on-board Croatia Airlines Business Class was created by Dino Galvagno, a famous Croatian Chef, and Uje Oil Bar by Mr. Leopold Botteri. Croatia Airlines has partnered with both Mr. Galvagno and Uje Oil Bar on creating the project Inspired by Croatia in late 2016. Since then, all business class meals were made according to old Croatian recipes and local foods from coastal and continental parts of Croatia.
New meals will be introduced on board Croatia Airlines flights starting from June 19th. The menu was inspired by the traditional cuisine of the Croatian capital, Zagreb. Business Class guests will have an opportunity to try a variety of famous dishes, all prepared with fresh local ingredients.
With the emphasis on Zagreb City cuisine, the new business class menu will introduce and promote local foods from other parts of the county. Al meals will be prepared in a traditional way to preserve the original flavours and served with extra vegetables. A special challenge in this project was achieving the same quality of taste and presentation with different catering providers in Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik.
This year’s new gastronomic offer on board Croatia Airlines airplanes is only an introduction to a new project, Croatia Airlines full of taste, made in cooperation with Croatian Tourist Board, planned for April 2020.
CEO of Croatia Airlines, Mr. Jasmin Bajić said: ‘Croatia Airlines full of taste is all about introducing Croatian gastronomic and oenological offer to our passengers in both business and economy class. The project will include cooperation with many famous Croatian chefs, restaurants, vineries, sommeliers, oil and other local food producers. Every six months, during winter and summer flight schedule, there will be a complete change of the menu.
In this way, Croatia Airlines, a national carrier that continuously improves its services, will offer the passengers an additional value to their travel experience and introduce them to a new gastronomic experience of Croatia.
