Croatia Airlines aircraft A319-112 reg. 9A-CTH on flight OU513 / CTN513 from Dublin to Zagreb, lost communications with air traffic control while flying over German airspace, and set up a transponder 7600 – Radio failure (lost communications).
While the plane was approaching runway 04 of Zagreb Airport, the Zagreb Tower postponed the departure of the British Airways A321 to London until the landing of Croatia Airlines.
Apart from this short delay, there was no significant disruption to air traffic.
The plane landed safely in Zagreb at 2:14 p.m. local time.
Croatia Airlines explained to AvioRadar that an error occurred on the radio equipment during the flight from Dublin, so they continued the communication with the flight control via Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC – written communication).
