Russian flag air carrier Aeroflot (SU/AFL) , a member of SkyTeam Alliance, has started with flight operations on Sankt Petersburg – Zagreb route. The first flight was operated on Friday, January 21st. This route will be operated with two flights a week until the end of March. Friday flights will be operated with Airbus A320 (in the picture). However, Sunday flights are announced to be operated with partnered air carrier Rossiya (FV/SDM), at first with Airbus A320, and later with a smaller SuperJet SSJ-100-95. Zagreb – Sankt Petersburg route was operated prevoiusly by Croatia Airlines, but flight operations on this route were discontined as the pandemic started, and it wasn’t resumed later.

This is the second Aeroflot’s route to Zagreb. Also, Moscow (Sheremetjevo Airport) – Zagreb route is operated with more weekly flights then announced. Now this route is operated daily instead of announced three weekly flights, mostly with a larger Airbus A321 instead of announced Airbus A320. This route was also operated occasionaly with wide-body Airbus A330-300 in December.
