Lufthansa Group will further expand its long-haul offering and premium product in the 2026/2027 winter schedule, with a particular focus on Lufthansa’s new Allegris cabin, which will be available on a significantly larger number of routes from this winter.
According to Lufthansa Group, Lufthansa will operate flights with the Allegris product to a total of eleven new destinations in the 2026/2027 winter season. From Frankfurt, the new cabin will be available on flights to Vancouver, Houston, Denver, Atlanta, Detroit, San José in Costa Rica, Seoul and Kuala Lumpur. The new direct Frankfurt, Kuala Lumpur service, launching on October 25, particularly stands out and will operate five times per week.
By introducing flights to the Malaysian capital, Lufthansa is further strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia, a region in which it sees room for further growth. The route will be operated by the Boeing 787-9, one of the most modern and efficient aircraft in Lufthansa’s fleet. The aircraft will offer 287 seats in three travel classes and the new Allegris cabin. Lufthansa also plans to use the same aircraft type and cabin product on flights from Frankfurt to Chennai, which are scheduled to begin in March.
From Munich, the Allegris destination network will expand to Singapore from late October, Washington from March 2027 and Cape Town. Lufthansa is thus continuing the gradual rollout of its new cabin product, introduced in 2024, which brings new seating concepts, more advanced technology and greater personalization options in all travel classes.
In addition to expanding Allegris, Lufthansa will increase weekly frequencies on several high-demand long-haul routes this winter. From Frankfurt, additional frequencies are planned to Rio de Janeiro, San José, Bogotá, Lagos and Hyderabad, while services from Munich to São Paulo, Mexico City, Johannesburg and Washington will also be strengthened.
Other airlines within Lufthansa Group are also introducing new services. SWISS will add Bengaluru in southern India to its network for the first time in the winter schedule, while its new long-haul product, SWISS Senses, will be available this winter on Airbus A350 flights to Johannesburg and Shanghai.
ITA Airways will introduce a seasonal direct service from Rome Fiumicino to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, marking its first entry into the Central American market. The winter schedule will also include the Rome Fiumicino, Houston and Rome Fiumicino, London Heathrow routes, which were introduced during the current summer season.
Brussels Airlines will launch a new route between Brussels and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania on June 3. Although the route was originally planned as a summer service, strong demand has led the airline to continue it through the winter. From October 28 to December 16, flights will operate once weekly, while from December 19 to February 21, two weekly flights are scheduled.
Discover Airlines will expand its winter offering to Morocco and northern Europe. From late October, it will connect Frankfurt with Agadir, while from Munich it will offer a direct service to Fès. Ivalo in Finnish Lapland will also join the winter schedule for the first time, with Discover Airlines operating one weekly flight from mid-December to mid-April.
Edelweiss will further expand its offering to Finland and Norway due to strong demand, while the season for flights to Luleå in Swedish Lapland will also be extended. The airline is planning additional flights to Scandinavian destinations, while more capacity will also be offered to the Canary Islands, Faro, Bilbao, Seville and Mallorca.
Eurowings will further strengthen its Berlin offering in the winter schedule, particularly to European cities and Nordic winter destinations. A new route will connect Berlin with Kuusamo in Finnish Lapland, while frequencies to Rovaniemi and Kittilä will also be increased. The expansion of the so-called “Capital Express” from Berlin will also continue, with flights to Rome starting on November 2 and services to London Heathrow operating during the winter. From Düsseldorf, Eurowings will offer year-round flights to Madrid.
All destinations in Lufthansa Group’s 2026/2027 winter schedule are already available for booking.
