New route to Croatia is announced by Slovak air carrier AirExplore (ED/AXE). Until now, Air Explore used to fly only on charter flights and it has never operated any regular routes before. They were in Croatia very rarely, on several charter flights. But now, AirExplore announces its first and the only regular Bratislava – Split route.
This route will start with flight operations on July 19th and it will be operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, with Boeing 737-800 (in the picture). This is the first new air carrier which decided to inaugurate new route to Croatia in current situation.
- Smartwings already operates daily flights from Prague to Split
- Czech Smartwings has cancelled Prague – Dubrovnik route
- In addition to 13 new routes, LOT will also boost current routes
- LOT Polish Airlines has inaugurated new route to Rijeka
There weren’t any flights on this route after Slovak air carrier Danube Wings (V5/VPA) went bankrupt in 2013. However, 7 years ago there were also two weekly flights on this route, but with a smaller ATR-72.
