This flight was the end of the B737 era for SAS. Removing the 737s from the fleet marks an important milestone in the transformation journey that SAS has been on since 2016, when the airline received the first Airbus 320neo. Today SAS is one of Europe’s largest operators of this modern, fuel-efficient, next-generation aircraft and will continue to phase in more A320neos over the coming years.
