With the begining of the upcoming summer timetable on March 31, German flag air carrier Lufthansa (LH/DLH), a member of Star Alliance, will lease 5 Bombardier CRJ-1000 planes from Irish air carrier CityJet (WX/BCY). This will be a wet-lease contract, meaning the airplanes will be leasted together with crew.
All 5 planes will be based at Lufthansa main base at Frankfurt Airport. These newly leased planes are announced to operate both daily flights between Frankfurt and Zagreb and on routes to Ljubljana, Basel, Birmingham, Dresden, Gdańsk, Geneva, Leipzig, Münster, Nantes, Newcastle, Manchester, Nuremberg and Stuttgart.
