CONFIRMED: Ural Airlines will try to take off the A320 from the field

As Ural Airlines confirmed in a press release, the carrier will attempt to take off the A320 from the field where it landed on September 12, due to a failure of the green hydraulic system.

The Russian carrier states that they are currently waiting for the installation of the cranes that should lift the plane, with the goal of carrying out testing of the landing gear and “additional tests of the aircraft design”. In addition, the plan is to remove seats and other currently unnecessary equipment from the aircraft, in order to make the aircraft lighter.

The press release also states that several boroscope tests of the engine were conducted and that the engineers determined that no refurbishment or further servicing of the engine was required. “The engine was cleaned of dirt and grass, which was confirmed by several engine inspections,” Ural Airlines said.
