Contract signed for the Aviation SysTEM project
On December 30, 2021, the contract signing ceremony for the Aviation SysTEM project, funded by the call “Strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations to promote STEM” from the European Social Fund, was held. The contract was signed with the Office for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, on behalf of the project holder, the AvioRadar association, by its Vice President Vjekoslav Kolarec.
The project is worth a total of 2,493,378.24 HRK, and in addition to the project holder, two partner institutions are participating in it, the Faculty of Transport Sciences of the University of Zagreb and the FabLAB association. During the 24 months of the project, and through examples from air transport, three areas of STEM will be popularized: science, technology and engineering for children and youth, and 300 children and youth from five regions of the Republic of Croatia will be involved, with special emphasis on children and young people from areas within the region where students do not have adequate access to STEM as well as areas of special state concern.
