ETF Airways has opened recruitment for pilots as part of the expansion of its ATR 72-600 operations. The airline is seeking cadets, non-type rated captains and captains who already hold an ATR 42/72 type rating.
The primary base for new flight crew members will be Zagreb, while Pula and Osijek will serve as additional operational bases depending on operational requirements. ETF says its ATR operations will connect destinations across Croatia and Europe.
Of particular interest is the programme aimed at cadets entering professional airline operations. Candidates are required to hold a frozen ATPL issued by an EASA Member State, a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher and fluent Croatian language proficiency.
ETF Airways will fully finance the ATR 72-600 type rating for selected cadets, together with a structured training programme and accommodation and travel expenses during training. Candidates selected for company-sponsored training will be required to enter into a training commitment agreement with the airline.
ETF is also recruiting captains who do not currently hold an ATR type rating. Candidates must hold a valid ATPL, type rating and Instrument Rating, a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate and have at least 3,000 hours of total flight time. They must also have accumulated at least 500 hours as pilot-in-command in Commercial Air Transport operations on aircraft with a maximum take-off weight exceeding 13,000 kilograms.
For this group, the airline is also offering a fully company-sponsored ATR 72-600 type rating programme, including accommodation and travel expenses during training.
The third category targeted by ETF Airways consists of experienced ATR captains. In addition to at least 3,000 hours of total flight time, candidates must have a minimum of 500 hours as pilot-in-command on ATR 42 or ATR 72 aircraft and hold a valid ATR 42/72 type rating and Instrument Rating.
In its job advertisement, ETF highlights its Croatia-based operating model, which eliminates the need for long-term commuting to bases abroad. The airline also points to long-term career development opportunities, a professional operational environment and a strong focus on safety culture.
The recruitment of several categories of ATR flight crew comes as ETF Airways prepares to further expand its regional operations in Croatia. Particularly notable is the opening of cadet positions with a fully company-sponsored type rating, providing pilots with relatively limited experience an opportunity to enter airline operations directly.
