Osijek-based aviation companies Air Tractor d.o.o. and Air Pannonia d.o.o. are continuing to expand their capabilities in the field of specialized aviation. According to a press release published on July 3, 2026, the companies are taking delivery of two new Air Tractor AT-802 aircraft intended for aerial firefighting operations.
With the arrival of the new aircraft, the fleet dedicated to this type of operation will grow to a total of three Air Tractors. This will significantly increase the operational capabilities of Air Tractor and Air Pannonia, particularly in terms of response speed, availability during the firefighting season and the ability to operate simultaneously across a wider area.
The new investment follows the signing, several months ago, of a contract for the provision of firefighting protection and aerial patrol operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. By entering this segment, the Osijek-based companies are further expanding their presence in the regional market and confirming their ambition to develop specialized aviation services.
The Air Tractor AT-802 is one of the best-known aircraft in its category, developed specifically for demanding operations such as aerial firefighting, agricultural work and other special-purpose missions. In its firefighting configuration, it is particularly valued for its ability to operate from shorter runways, simpler logistics and relatively quick preparation for another flight, making it a useful asset in rapid-response systems.
The companies emphasize that the acquisition of two new aircraft is part of their continuous investment in fleet modernization and the development of operational capabilities. A larger number of aircraft will enable more efficient area coverage, faster deployment of resources and greater availability of aerial capacity during periods of increased fire risk.
“This investment represents an important milestone in the development of our companies. By expanding the fleet, we are further increasing our capacities and readiness to carry out demanding firefighting operations, while confirming our commitment to the development of specialized aviation. Our goal is to be a reliable partner to institutions and communities that require fast, safe and efficient solutions from the air,” the companies stated.
Air Tractor and Air Pannonia are sister companies headquartered in Osijek. Air Pannonia is known for its business and charter aviation services, as well as medical flights, while Air Tractor is developing the segment of specialized operations, including firefighting protection, aerial patrols and other dedicated aviation services.
The arrival of the new aircraft therefore represents an important step in the further development of Osijek’s aviation system. With the expansion of the fleet and activities in both domestic and international markets, Air Tractor and Air Pannonia are further positioning themselves as regional providers of specialized aerial services.
