Croatia Airlines is hiring in its technical division

Croatia Airlines has opened job vacancies in its Technical Division, seeking candidates for two positions, Head of Line Maintenance and Plant Mechanic. The Croatian flag carrier says that operating within the demanding international air transport system requires a strong focus on expertise, professionalism, and the highest quality standards.

For the Head of Line Maintenance position, the airline is seeking a professional responsible for planning and organising daily aircraft maintenance operations, preparing daily work schedules, allocating resources, and coordinating with relevant departments. The role also includes monitoring the completion of maintenance tasks, adjusting plans in line with priorities and deadlines, coordinating teams and supervisors, and making real time decisions. It also involves organising assistance and dispatching teams to external stations in the event of an aircraft on ground situation, as well as providing technical support to flight crews during operations.

Candidates are expected to have an appropriate educational background, either a university degree, professional higher education degree, or secondary education as an aircraft technician with a Part 66 B1 or B2 licence. Active knowledge of English is required, along with training for work in a continuous airworthiness management system such as AMICOS or AMOS, as well as an appropriate Part 66 authorisation or engineering licence. Preference will be given to applicants who are willing to work shifts and who demonstrate strong organisational skills, decisiveness, and the ability to work under pressure.

The second open vacancy is for the Plant Mechanic position. This role includes a broad range of technical tasks related to the production and maintenance of equipment and facilities, including electrical, electromechanical, electrical installation, mechanical, locksmith, toolmaking and construction work, as well as maintenance of tools and equipment used for aircraft maintenance. The scope of work also includes repairs of cabin equipment, assembly and repair of cargo containers, and responsibility for tools and work equipment.

For this position, candidates must have secondary technical education or a vocational qualification in a technical trade, along with at least one year of work experience or experience in similar jobs. Here too, preference will be given to applicants ready for shift work, teamwork, and a dynamic working environment, with a high degree of responsibility and a strong focus on safety.

In both vacancies, Croatia Airlines states that it offers a supportive working environment, a balance between private and professional life through shift work, employment in a demanding and highly professional industry, and access to airline tickets under special conditions for employees and their families.

Applications are open until April 18, 2026, and more information is available via the application link.
