Zagreb Airport among regional ESG leaders

Zagreb International Airport (the operator of Franjo Tuđman Airport) has received significant recognition at the 9th Regional Entrepreneurs Summit of Central and Southeast Europe “300 BEST”, held in Split at the end of March, as part of a conference dedicated to economic sustainability and the implementation of ESG policies in long-term development.

Zagreb Airport was awarded the Silver “Regional ESG Leader” recognition in the category of responsible management, confirming a high level of ESG standards implementation in its operations during 2025. In addition, a special award for “Best Communicator” was presented to Gabrijela Abramović, Director of Integrated Management Systems, Sustainable Development and Risk Management.

These recognitions further confirm the positioning of Zagreb Airport as one of the leading organisations in the region in terms of transparent and responsible governance. ESG principles are integrated into all key business processes, from operational management to strategic planning.

Summit organisers emphasised that an increasing number of companies in the region recognise the importance of sustainable business practices, but that consistent implementation of ESG guidelines is what distinguishes leaders from the rest of the market. With these awards, Zagreb Airport has further strengthened its role in this segment, demonstrating that sustainability and business efficiency can go hand in hand.
